WHICH IVORY COAT FOOD IS BEST FOR YOUR PET?

THE BENEFITS OF NATURAL INGREDIENTS FOR BALANCED PET HEALTH

You are what you eat. And the same is true for our pets. So it is important to know what they are eating is good for them. That’s the benefit of choosing natural foods. Natural foods contain ingredients that are in their natural state. Natural ingredients are those that have come directly from plants, animals or from the earth, not what has been chemically created or modified in a laboratory. Each ingredient has its own unique combination and levels of essential nutrients.

When creating our high quality delicious recipes, the ingredients in IVORY COAT have been specifically chosen with health, safety and nutrition in mind for your pet, and every ingredient has a role to play in your pet’s favourite IVORY COAT product. Ingredient purpose and ingredient integrity are integral parts of our IVORY COAT philosophy. Every ingredient that has been added is there with the pet in mind. Artificial colours, flavours and preservatives do not fit in the design fundamentals and therefore you will not see them in the ingredient list. When necessary, vitamin, minerals and other trace nutrients may need to be added to ensure all our products are nutritionally Complete and Balanced for the intended lifestage of your pet. Meaning, IVORY COAT is all you need to feed each day for your pet to thrive.

INGREDENT PURPOSE AND INGREDIENT INTEGRITY ARE PARTS OF OUR IVORY COAT PHILOSOPHY.

FOR DOGS SENSITIVE TO NATURAL GRAINS

GRAIN FREE FOOD

Just like us, some dogs may be more sensitive than others when it comes to certain ingredients – even natural grains.
Examples of grains include gluten-free varieties such as corn, oats and rice, as well as grains with gluten, such as barley, rye, spelt and wheat. It’s why, at Ivory Coat, we provide you with options. As well as our wholegrain dog food varieties, we also offer a range of dog food that contains absolutely no grains – not even wholegrains.

WHY IVORY COAT GRAIN FREE PET FOOD?

Every pet is different, and grain-free pet food can be of benefit for dogs who may not feel their best when eating foods containing grain. If you’re concerned that your dog is intolerant to grains for any reason, it’s important to talk with your vet first, and potentially, choose grain free pet food options.

Ivory Coat’s grain free range includes absolutely no added grains. Instead, all of our recipes use a combination of meat and vegetables, with added vitamins, minerals and other trace nutrients for complete and balanced daily nutrition. Our grain free products are higher in protein compared with our wholegrain products and are formulated to provide your dog with all the sustenance and nutrition it needs every day.

NUTRIENT-DENSE AND UN-REFINED

WHOLEGRAIN FOOD

Wholegrains can be considered nutritious for dogs. They provide fibre, which can be of great benefit to a dog’s digestive system, gut health and ability to absorb nutrients from other food. The combination of protein and complex carbohydrates in wholegrains can also provide slow-release energy, help dogs feel “full” for longer, and the nutrients in wholegrains contribute towards what dogs require for a complete and balanced diet.

WHY IVORY COAT WHOLEGRAIN
 PET FOOD?

Nutrient-dense and un-refined natural grains.
Un-refined wholegrains come with every part of the grain – the bran, endosperm and germ, each of which contributes important nutrition. The endosperm is the food supply for a grain’s germ, and so has a high level of starchy carbohydrates and protein, and the germ is the embryo of the grain and contains essential fatty acids, vitamin E, B vitamins and minerals. The bran, or the grain’s hard protective outer shell, is high in fibre, vitamins and minerals. For this reason, wholegrains like brown rice are more nutritious than refined grains, like white rice, which have the bran and the germ removed.

You’ll only find nutritious wholegrains in Ivory Coat’s Holistic Nutrition pet food – like brown rice and oats. Their fibre, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and protein ensures that every option within the Ivory Coat wholegrain range provides a complete and balanced meal option for your dog.

BENEFITS OF MIXED FEEDING

Just like us, our pets can get a bored with the same food day after day. Many of us want to provide variety for our pets, but with so many options available, it can be hard to know exactly what to feed your pet, and which products offer the best flavour and nutrition.

One way to offer variety is through mixed feeding, which is the practice of combining multiple formats in your pets meal such as wet and dry dog foods.

While every pet is different and will enjoy different flavours and combinations, when practicing mixed feeding, make sure you follow the recommended feeding guidelines on the packs to make sure your pet is fed the right amount.

If your pet is new to wet pet food, make sure you introduce it into their diet gradually over the course of a week. It’s recommended you start out by replacing 25% of your pet’s normal food, then move to 50%, then 75%, over the week for optimal digestion.
